$8 million WMU facility will house Michigan’s largest collection of geology samples

KALAMAZOO, MI — Michigan’s largest collection of geological samples is moving to an $8 million new home.

Crews broke ground on a 20,000-square-foot facility for The Michigan Geological Repository for Research and Education on Friday, March 20. The new location is northeast of Western Michigan University’s Floyd Hall on the university’s Parkview Campus.
