KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Following an investigation, the cause of the fire at the Kalamazoo Metal Recycling Plant has been labeled “undetermined,” according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).
The massive fire happened March 9 at the plant on King Highway, and the smoke could be seen for miles.

Crews fought the fire for more than 10 hours, using over one million gallons of water to put out the flames. No one was hurt.
