School board issues ‘no trespassing order’ against trustee

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI — Comstock Public Schools leaders are at odds with one of their school board members, Trustee Richard Hathaway, censuring him for the third time.

The board approved a censure March 9 against Hathaway for violating communications protocols. Hathaway said he wasn’t aware he was violating the district’s protocols.

The censure prevents Hathaway from holding any elected title on the board like vice president or secretary. He also cannot serve as a building liaison and has a “no trespassing order” preventing him from accessing district buildings unless he’s there for board activities…
