COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A large crowd gathered in Comstock Township Tuesday night for a special board meeting regarding Supervisor Benjamin Martin; which had been rescheduled and relocated from the township hall to a high school auditorium in anticipation of a high turn out.
About three hours after the meeting started, a divided board voted to write a letter of recommendation to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) regarding the winery and tasting room license held by Soil Friends LLC, a farm and cidery owned by the township’s elected supervisor, Ben Martin.
