📢 Free Pet Microchip Clinic & Community Updates from Sheriff Abbott

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office shared several community updates in Sheriff Abbott’s March 26 message:

  • The office co-hosted updated training on law enforcement response to stalking, PPO, and bond violations with the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards.
  • Free Microchip Clinic: April 6–11, during normal shelter hours at the Van Buren County Animal Control Shelter. County residents can have their dogs microchipped and registered at no cost, thanks to a state grant. Bring your dog(s) and ID; available while supplies last.
