Kalamazoo to update 1,000-year-old Native American mound to honor its origins

KALAMAZOO, MI — A new landscaping plan began this week to honor a historic Native American mound in Bronson Park, 200 S. Rose St.

The mound, located in the park near the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre is over 1,000 years old. Historians believe it was used for ceremonial practices.
