Man’s body pulled from Barry County lake, sheriff says

HOPE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man drowned in a Barry County lake Wednesday after his fishing boat capsized, the sheriff confirms.

It happened around 4:25 p.m. at Head Lake in Hope Township, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office. A man had been fishing from his flat bottom boat when his boat capsized. Deputies arrived to find him floating near the boat.
