Multiple hospitalized after two vehicle crash ejects occupants, one airlifted

ASSYRIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Multiple people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on South M-66 and Tasker Road in Assyria Township Thursday.

An preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed while a GMC Acadia was traveling southbound, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).

The GMC Acadia turned east onto Tasker Road into the path of the Camry. The vehicles collided, and multiple occupants were ejected from the Acadia.

An occupant of the Acadia, a 19-year-old man from Coldwater, was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
