Two Lansing residents arrested after wrong-way drive on I-69 near Tekonsha

TEKONSHA, MI (WTVB) – Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 29-year-old Domonique Nicole Gibson and her 35-year-old male passenger early Saturday morning after she drove northbound in the southbound lanes of I-69 near Tekonsha.

The incident began around 2:51 a.m. Saturday morning, when the Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch Authority received reports from Branch County dispatch and multiple motorists about the wrong-way vehicle.

A deputy attempted to stop the slow-moving car using emergency lights and sirens, but Gibson swerved around the patrol vehicle and continued traveling against traffic…
