KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Activists gathered in downtown Kalamazoo Monday to oppose plans to restart the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert Township, raising concerns about safety, environmental risks and the expansion of nuclear energy in the Great Lakes region.
The rally began in Bronson Park before demonstrators marched through downtown Kalamazoo and later spoke during public comment at the Kalamazoo City Commission meeting.
