KALAMAZOO, MI — Kalamazoo’s city manager, Malcolm Hankins, will receive up to another $21,000 this year as he continues his search for a home in the area.
The Kalamazoo City Commission extended a $3,500 monthly housing allowance at its Monday, May 18 meeting. The extension will last for six months. If Hankins finds a home in the time period, the housing allowance will not continue, said Michael Smith, communications manager for the city.
