MSP: 50 pounds of meth found in car of ‘major distributor’

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — State police say a suspected drug trafficker was taken into custody Friday after a chase through Berrien County and an eight-hour search with drones and police dogs.

Investigators with the Southwest Enforcement Team, a multijurisdictional drug task force, believe the 31-year Kalamazoo man is a “major methamphetamine distributor” — likely one of the most significant in Southwest Michigan. Their investigation has been underway for months.
