KC woman denied bond after I-35 pursuit, meth arrest

CLINTON COUNTY, Mo. — A Kansas City woman was denied bond on multiple charges following a Friday evening pursuit in Clinton County that uncovered methamphetamine and hidden drug paraphernalia.

Heather Sharmae Starchman, 37, is scheduled for an 11 a.m. initial appearance Tuesday. She is charged with drug possession, fleeing, tampering with evidence, and traffic violations.

According to a probable cause statement, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop Starchman’s SUV for an illegally overtaking another vehicle on northbound Interstate 35. Starchman fled onto State Highway 116 before finally stopping near Bittersweet Lane…
