KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Jackson County grand jury has indicted a 21-year-old man for a 2023 deadly shooting at the Independence Center.
The indictment filed on Thursday charges Leandre Peterson Jr. with second-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, two counts of second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
