Kansas City police ask that you stop stashing bags around World Cup Fan Fest

Police are pleading with people attending Kansas City’s World Cup Fan Festival to stop stashing bags in “random” places around the event.

In a social media post Saturday afternoon, the Kansas City Police Department wrote that bags that don’t meet the event’s clear bag policy were diverting law enforcement resources, as those bags have to be thoroughly inspected.

“There have been a significant number of guests attempting to bring non-compliant bags into the venue, & when they are turned away guests are stashing their bags in random places to hide them for later,” the department said. “This creates a security issue, mandating a law enforcement response.”…
