MERRIAM, Kan. (KCTV) – The Merriam City Council on Monday approved plans for a new Aldi grocery store in the Merriam Town Center.
The new grocery store is part of a larger redevelopment project. Aldi will take over the storefront currently occupied by OfficeMax.
Merriam Mayor Bob Pape said the overall redevelopment project is estimated to cost about $30 million, with Aldi’s portion costing approximately $5.3 million.
