KCPD: Driver critically injured after being trapped under Hummer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City driver is in critical condition after a collision went dangerously wrong.

The Kansas City Police Department says emergency crews arrived near 13th and Indiana Ave. just after 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, to find a gray Hummer H2 had been backing out of a driveway.

As the driver reversed, investigators indicate that the vehicle’s door struck a retaining wall – causing the driver to fall from the vehicle and become trapped underneath.

First responders say they freed the driver and rushed them to a nearby hospital with critical injuries…
