Kansas City man who stabbed two men inside St. James Subway sentenced to prison

A Kansas City man who was convicted of stabbing two men inside a restaurant in Pulaski County is sentenced to four years in prison.

It was in April when a jury found Patricio Padilla, 47, guilty of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and two counts of armed criminal action. The jury recommended a sentence of eight years in prison. Padilla was sentenced Monday to one year in prison on the second-degree assault charge and three years in prison on the armed criminal action charges. He’s to serve those sentences back-to-back, for a total of four years. Padilla was also sentenced to three years in prison on the second armed criminal action charge, but he’ll be allowed to serve that sentence at the same time as his other sentences.

Padilla was sentenced to five years in prison on the first-degree assault charge, but that sentence was suspended and he was placed on five years of supervised probation…
