20-year-old sentenced to 14 years in Kansas City gas station shooting death

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man will spend the next 14 years in prison for a gas station shooting that took a man’s life in December 2025.

Jackson County Circuit Court records show that Ramel A. Morgan, 20, was sentenced after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the Dec. 7 shooting death.
