Kansas City is asking a judge to put control of a vacant former shopping mall that the city calls a nuisance into new hands.
The city filed a petition July 2 in Jackson County Circuit Court asking the court to appoint a receiver, or someone who could take control of a vacant and blighted property, for the former Robandee Shopping Center off Bannister Road in south Kansas City.
