Historic downtown KC building may be transformed into music hotel, venue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A historic building in downtown Kansas City could soon be getting a facelift.

On Monday, Port KC will consider authorizing $480 million in bonds for a developer to transform the Scarritt building, located near Eighth and Grand.
