KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Crews are working to fix a busy stretch of road in downtown Kansas City after a water main break flooded the street and a nearby building Friday night.
KC Water responded at about 7 p.m. Friday to find water spreading along the area of East 18th Street and Grand Boulevard and into the nearby Church of Scientology building — located at 1805 Grand Blvd.
Crews immediately responded to the area and have been working tirelessly to fix the issue. However, the water main break caused a decent amount of damage to the area, leaving the roadway buckled, the basement of the Scientology building flooded, and the streets closed…
