KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A man is dead after a late-night shooting in Kansas City, and police are searching for a person of interest who ran from the scene before officers arrived.
The Kansas City Police Department said emergency crews responded around 11:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, to the area of 39th and Main St. after reports of a shooting.
Officers indicated that they found the victim inside a nearby business. He was unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
First responders said they performed life-saving measures at the scene, but the man was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital…
