‘Luminary Park’ in downtown Kansas City expected to break ground this year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – An elevated park over a downtown Kansas City interstate will break ground by the end of the year.

The people involved in the Roy Blunt Luminary Park project said that Phase One is expected to begin later this year. The announcement comes after members of the Kansas City Council approved a plan for the construction.

The first phase will include a lot of infrastructure work. It is needed to allow crews to build a future tunnel and deck for the park so it can span the highway…
