KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – City and federal officials will be at MLK Park on Wednesday for the groundbreaking and dedication of a new pedestrian bridge. The bridge will be constructed over Brush Creek and will allow those living north of Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard to MLK Park.
“That’s going to be very beneficial,” said Orlando Hudson, who was at the park with his family. “On a nice day like today, you can just walk right over here and come on to the park. I feel like that will be great, especially for the community. We need more good, positive things like that.”
Hudson says he works a lot in nearby buildings, like Brush Creek Towers. He says grandparents living there will be able to walk with their grandchildren to the park when the bridge opens…
