I’m excited to see that the pedestrian bridge that will connect the north and south sides of Brush Creek over Kansas City’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Park at Woodland Avenue is finally happening. The first dirt was turned on the project this week.
I have to give thanks to U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II. He went to bat for that community, his community, and got the money to help make sure that beautiful park is safe and accessible to the folks who live around it.
I don’t care how you feel about the congressman; it’s hard to deny that that’s the kind of stuff I think wins him points in this city…
