Kansas City commuters may experience slowdowns and slick spots from rounds of rain this morning, though the heaviest of it is likely done for the metro.

The rain wraps up around lunchtime, making for a drier, hot afternoon. Highs near 90 will feel like 95-100 with the high humidity.
Thursday & Friday: Hot & Mainly Dry
Thursday morning may see a few quick showers, but the main headline is again the heat, with highs in the low 90s. Heat index values will feel near 100 degrees.
Friday stays hot with lows in the mid-90s and sunshine. We may get closer than we’d like to the record high of 96 set in 2022. Heat index values will again hit 100 to 105.
