$35M Ponzi scheme bilked Missouri investors, reportedly linked to Travis Kelce

ST. LOUIS – A man convicted of operating a $35 million Ponzi scheme that targeted Missouri investors has been sentenced too 11 years in federal prison. The case has been linked to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who reportedly once invested in the man’s company.

On Tuesday, a federal judge in St. Louis formally sentenced Siddharth Jawahar, 38, to 11 years behind bars and ordered him to pay $31.35 million in restitution.

According to a U.S. Department of Justice news release, Jawahar ran a Texas-based investment company called Swiftarc Capital LLC. From about July 2016 through December 2023, Jawahar took in more than $35 million from investors, but he only invested around $10 million…
