Kiyoshi Omakase opened in the spring in Overland Park, and the sushi restaurant quickly become a favorite of Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and his wife, Maggie.
When it opened at 8016 Santa Fe Drive, the restaurant said it planned to have the chef tailor meals daily based on whatever fresh fish was available. Yuanyuan Li, the manager for Kiyoshi Omakase, told The Star earlier this year that fish would be flown in daily from Japan.
