The Kansas Buc-ee’s under construction in Kansas City, Kansas, is still moving forward, but drivers heading to the Village West area will need a little more patience this fall. New road closures near I-70 are changing how you reach the site.
Here is the short version. A Village West Parkway closure began September 28. The North 110th Street I-70 ramps were scheduled to close October 5 and remain closed until after Thanksgiving. Buc-ee’s still has not announced an official opening date.
What the new road closures mean
Neither closure shuts down I-70 completely. Both, however, change how drivers move around the shopping, dining, and entertainment district surrounding the future travel center.
Village West Parkway closes again
This closure started September 28 and mainly affects local trips around Village West. Expect detours and allow a few extra minutes. No exact reopening day has been confirmed, so follow posted signage for the latest routing.
