A Kansas City man was sentenced Thursday to 18 years in prison for fatally shooting another driver during a road-rage confrontation on The Paseo in November 2024, a case that investigators say they cracked months later using surveillance footage from the shooter’s own DoorDash delivery car. Isaiah Francis pleaded guilty to amended charges of voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action in the death of 66-year-old Dennis Griffin, who was shot while driving his GMC Sierra near 75th Street and The Paseo.

Francis had been held in Jackson County jail on a $150,000 bond while the case moved through court.
