A Kansas City man has been charged with murder in connection to a suspected homicide that occurred inside an Independence hospital this week, court records show.
James F. Lawson was charged Friday with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to charging documents. Jackson County prosecutors announced the charges after police had investigated the circumstances of a suspicious death in the hospital on Thursday.
