JACKSON COUNTY, MO — In July, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the suspected introduction of contraband, including illegal narcotics, into the Jackson County Detention Center, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte’.
Upon learning of these allegations, Sheriff Forté immediately authorized an investigation and requested assistance of the Jackson County Drug Task Force (JCDTF), an outside law enforcement agency, to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation.
