Sometimes friendships don’t last forever, and that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.
In a new Subway commercial, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shows off his latest culinary prized possession, which doesn’t sit well with his teammate Travis Kelce .
“There’s nothing better than a Subway Series footlong,” Mahomes says. “Except when you add a new footlong sidekick.”
The two-time Super Bowl champ then holds up one of the chain restaurant’s new footlong cookies.
With the chocolate chip masterpiece in hand, Mahomes says, “This might be my favorite sidekick ever.”
That’s when the camera shows a despondent Kelce, who throws down a football and walks away without saying a word.
Kelce posted the commercial on Instagram, which drew rave reviews from his followers, including Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes , who wrote, “I’m dead😂😂😂😂.”
