KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Mayor Quinton Lucas put pen to paper Tuesday afternoon, signing an ordinance banning source of income discrimination for renters. Income discrimination is when renters are denied a lease because of how they get paid, if they use public programs, or if they have bad credit. On Thursday, the mayor and City Council voted 10 to 3, passing an ordinance.
