Missing 12-year-old girl found safe, Kansas City police say

UPDATE: Police say Mya Butler was located and is safe.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 12-year-old girl went missing in Kansas City early Wednesday morning.

Police say Mya Butler was last seen around 1 a.m. going south on the 100 block of Olive Street. She was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and without shoes.

Butler is described by KCPD to be 5 feet 10 inches weighing 200 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a burn mark on her abdomen.

Anyone who sees this child, officials ask them to call 911 or the KCPD Missing Persons Section at 816-234-5043.
