Two men died in a crash late Wednesday night about 9:40 p.m., near Raytown Road and Blue Ridge Cutoff in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.
Three children were also transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
KC police say the preliminary investigation determined a gray Kia Forte was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Blue Ridge Cutoff.
A blue Ford Focus was making a left turn from northbound Blue Ridge Cutoff onto westbound Raytown Road.
As the Ford turned into the intersection, it was struck by the Kia. The unrestrained driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three young juvenile passengers from the Ford were transported to a local hospital with possible serious injuries. The three juveniles are all currently in stable condition and the investigation is ongoing.
These are fatalities #10 and 11, compared to #4 at this time last year.
