Jackson County property taxes are fastest growing in the state

JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) – A new State Auditor’s report reveals Jackson County’s property tax rate increased more than any other county in the state. The county saw an increase of 24.35%. The new number combines personal property and real estate taxes. Property taxes related to homes increased by 32.1%. The numbers are based on September data after assessment appeals were well underway.
