RAYTOWN, Mo. — A 24-year-old has pleaded guilty in another Kansas City-area homicide .
Logan England entered a guilty plea on Friday to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the 2018 death of 17-year-old Makayla Brooks .
Teen charged in deadly Olathe shooting of 15-year-old Lawrence girl
Court documents say Brooks was asleep on the couch when England came into the Raytown home and shot her four times.
Another teen, Kaci Cox, was also charged in the Raytown shooting.
Cox told investigators she showed England where Brooks lived, drove him there, waited in the car and then drove him away from the scene.
She pleaded guilty to lesser charges in 2022 and is set to be sentenced this month.
England has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. The sentence will run at the same time as a sentence he’s already serving for a 2019 homicide .

In that case, England also pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a deadly shooting outside a Raytown pool hall .
