KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In November, residents in Waldo reported a slew of slashed car tires throughout the neighborhood.
Some Waldo residents told FOX4 the problem is ongoing more than two months later, with a recent increase in slashed tires and other vandalism, raising concerns about further property damage, repair expenses, and overall safety.
Katie lives in Waldo. She didn’t want to show her face on camera and let vandals know where she lived.

“For the past few months, we have been having lots of tires slashed in our neighborhood, all within the same few-block radius,” Katie said.
On Saturday night, Katie said she heard tires being slashed.
“We heard two loud pops and a hissing sound,” she said. “I’m like, what is that? and then we hear this person talking to herself, walking down the street. I’m like somebody’s tires just got slashed.”
In November, the Kansas City Police Department started investigating the first slew of slashed tires in the Waldo neighborhood.
