Relatives of 7-year-old Tiler Dildine said the issue is brain swelling, and her outlook does not look good.
Dildine’s family also said the crash happened about two minutes away from their house.
On Tuesday, traffic swerved to avoid a sign placed on busy East 23rd Street Trafficway leading toward Stark Avenue. Behind the sign is a series of deep potholes cratering the rightmost lane.
“This is a big one. This is not a small pothole. It is humongous. I know they have people calling them about this pothole. And they know the pothole has something to do with it obviously because they went back out today and put a sign in front of the pothole so other traffic doesn’t hit it,” said Rachel McGee, Tiler’s aunt.
