Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is now among the most popular sports figures in the world. His love story with Taylor Swift and a second consecutive Super Bowl title have both added a new layer to this.
With Kelce celebrating this fame as well as back-to-back titles, he’s now looking to cash in.
Tatian Siegel of Variety.com reports that Kelce is going to serve as an executive producer for a low-budget independent film called My Dead Friend Zoe . The movie will star veteran actors Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris.
Per the report, this will be the first film to utilize the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act for financial backing.
“Hollywood is risky, right? On a scale of one to 10, Hollywood, it is a 9.5,” producer Ray Maiello said . “Especially in terms of independent film. These federal tax credits take the risk down to like a five.”
