KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a man at Southridge Apartments overnight Saturday.
Around 2:47 a.m., police were called about a shooting at Southridge Apartments and found a man dead with gunshot wounds. Officials say that another man was taken into custody.

KCK police say this is their first homicide investigation of the year.
