FIRST WARN THURSDAY due to storm threats, highs low 70s

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Low pressure and a warm front have lifted into the central plains around the Missouri River Valley this morning, providing us with enough instability, warm air, and moisture to produce strong storms with the potential of severe weather. A marginal risk for severe storm activity is possible this morning into the afternoon with our main concern being damaging wind and quarter-size hail or larger. Temperatures will start in the lower 60s with gusts around 20 – 25 mph through the day. Storm activity is anticipated to move into the late afternoon and early evening as temperatures rise into the lower 70s.
