Popular Kansas City barbeque restaurant closes temporarily due to flooding, repairs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A popular Kansas City restaurant now temporarily closed.

Day after day of rain is to blame.

Arthur Bryant’s Barbeque announced on social media earlier Friday that it will need to close its restaurant at E. 18th Street and Brooklyn Avenue to make repairs.

The building is old and the excessive rain has lead to flooding and plumbing issues.

Arthur Bryant’s expects to open in the next few days.
