Patrick Mahomes’ 69-Yard Throw Resurfaces Ahead of Chiefs-Falcons

Patrick Mahomes has had quite a slow start to the season. While he’s led the Kansas City Chiefs to a 2-0 record, his performance hasn’t been quite up to par. Mahomes has thrown three interceptions already, an uncharacteristic sight for the former MVP.

Still, we know that when he’s on, Mahomes is still arguably the best quarterback in the league today. With a matchup against the Atlanta Falcons coming up, a video of the Chiefs star throwing a dot against the same team has made the rounds on social media.

The highlight came during the 2018 preseason. The Chiefs star launched a 69-yard bomb to Tyreek Hill, with Mahomes throwing up a beauty to the speedy wide receiver.

70 yards in the air. That’s a thing of beauty right there. Mahomes is more known for his creativity with his throws and deliveries. As this clip shows, though, the Chiefs star is more than capable of going deep on a single throw.

Mahomes could have a chance to replicate this throw against the Falcons in Mercedez-Benz Stadium. While Hill has left the team, they have another speedster in Xavier Worthy, who can stretch the field.
