KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after two people were shot near a south Kansas City school Tuesday afternoon.
According to KCPD, dispatch received reports of a shooting at about 1 p.m. Tuesday in the area of East 85th Street and Highland Avenue — an intersection near Center School District’s Center Academy for Success.

Upon arrival, officers found two shooting victims at the scene.
KCPD has not released any more details about the shooting, including the status of the two victims.
FOX4 contacted Center School District, which has its district office at the Center Academy for Success, for more details. However, the district directed the station to KCPD for more information.
