Juju Scouts Performance vs. Saints With 3 Words

The 2024 season had been a slow burn for Kansas City Chiefs receiver Juju Smith-Schuster prior to the New Orleans Saints clash.

But after an injury to Rashee Rice, Smith-Schuster was presented with an opportunity to be a focal part of Andy Reid’s offense along with Travis Kelce…and it was an opportunity he didn’t waste.

Smith-Schuster would haul in seven receptions for 130 yards to lead the Chiefs in both categories in the 26-13 win.

But what does Juju think the reason was for his breakout performance of the season?

“I think just an opportunity present itself,” Smith-Schuster said . “Took the opportunity to work with Pat [Mahomes] just throughout the week in my time here and I was very happy to be in a game like that where I can participate to help the team out and win.”

With Rice out for the season with a knee injury, Smith-Schuster will be called upon by Patrick Mahomes week in and week out as Kansas City aims to continue its quest for three straight Super Bowls.

Of course, Smith-Schuster won’t be a one-man crew. Kelce, Justin Watson, Noah Gray, and Xavier Worthy make up a decent supporting cast for Mahomes.
