KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – To help combat increasing gun violence across Kansas City the Jackson County legislators voted to establish an Office of Gun Violence Prevention. An initiative months in the making, the proposal first passed in committee before going on to the full legislature where it passed 8-1 on Oct. 21.
