Charges filed in high-speed incident that left injuries to driver at Cabool

A Kansas City man faces charges following a late August incident in which he allegedly attempted to elude Cabool police.

Authorities said Zachary Visnosky, born in 1998, was traveling at speeds as high as 110 miles per hour, when he eventually crashed in a field, hitting some brush, trees and came to rest in a ditch east of Parker Avenue adjacent to U.S. 63.

He sustained several injuries, and told an officer that he was trying to get to his grandmother’s residence because she had cancer. He claimed the vehicle was using an “auto pilot” feature.

Visnosky was charged Oct. 30 with a class E felony of attempting to resist arrest.
